We sent one of our Fashion Week Correspondents, Kyle Bryan over to the Libertine show.
COLOR COLOR COLOR and more COLOR. From seeing Alberta Ferreti’s collection after this, I must say that this much be a recurring trend for fall. Color is TOTALLY in for fall. And at Libertine that does not mean weak red or purple. This means neon on neon on hot hot colors. Libertine, a somewhat unknown brand, presented at this years NYFW at the Exit Art location. The feeling of the show was like if a Chanel Couture collection decided to roll around in neon paint. We saw tweed, illusions of tweed, and thick alpaca wools. Now do not be fooled, this bust of color did not mean a skimp on warmth. Almost all of the models wore gloves as well as layers upon layers of colorful and printed outerwear. Look out for the return of Libertine.
